How to keep your bladder healthy? Here are at least five things recommended by urologists that you should not do from now onwards as these may ameliorate the well-being of the bladder to a great extent.
1. Avoid Convenience Voiding:
In our childhood, our parents consistently asked their children to pass water just before going for a long drive using the phrase “just in case”. It means comfort voiding or passing water while you don’t have a feeling of urinating but it may arise in a while. Is this truly harmful? 3. Avoid Bladder Stimulants:

4. Don’t Get Dehydrated:
It’s not wise to drink a lesser amount of water and
dehydrate yourself to reduce your frequency of urinating because it will
concentrate your urine and the urine will acquire a color of dark yellow
instead of pale yellow. Concentrated urine can disturb the bladder to get any
disorder like urinary urgency etc. Persons who have repeated infections of the
bladder or urinary system (UTI) may increase their risk factors for UTI due to
dehydration. However, drinking more water or other fluids is the basic method
to lower your chances of having repeated UTIs.
5. Don’t Hold Your Urine:
If you are feeling to go to the bathroom to pass water please void your bladder as early as possible and avoid holding urine for hours at a time. Although we all do it sometimes when we feel like going to the washroom but are busy with other activities and it’s alright occasionally yet it may not be made a habit as doing so may weaken the muscles of the bladder over a long period. It can likewise lead to pelvic floor dysfunction and that means that emptying the bladder may become difficult for you each time when you go to urinate. That can cause various urinary disorders in the long run. After several years your pelvic floor muscles become so fragile that you can be unable to urinate, but that doesn't occur quite often. However, there is a possibility. Furthermore, when you cannot fully void the bladder some of the urine is simply left in the bladder significantly for hours, and your chances of getting an infection increase since your bladder is not fully empty. It’s alright if you do it occasionally, but please don't overlook your need to urinate always since it may contribute to serious issues down the line.
